Housie is a very popular game. It is believed that it was introduced in Italy in the 1500s. The concept of Raag Saagar is inspired by Housie.

In India, along with the entertainment programs, intellectual sessions have also been a part of various cultural and public gatherings and events for ages. Housie was one of such games, popularly played among all age groups and families.
Being a teacher, I thought why not to make it informative along with the fun and entertainment ? There should be some comprehensive takeaways from it, which will add some value to the participant’s knowledge as well. I was brainstorming on why not to make an interesting game related to the subject like music so that people can develop their interest in the subject in a playful manner. And at the same time, they should get an understanding and knowledge of Indian classical music. With this idea, Raag Saagar was created and is being introduced into the public domain now.
